Jordan Lindsay Friendly

Looking for a delicious brunch in Chester County, PA? Try The Classic Diner!

One of the easiest #jlf meals to eat out is breakfast/brunch.  Also, let’s face it:  nothing beats Sunday brunch! A fan favorite (for everyone, not just the #jlf crowd) is The Classic Diner, with two locations:  Frazer, Pa and West Chester, Pa. Screen Shot 2015-02-22 at 10.05.21 PM

Now, since this place churns out delicious breakfast favorites — i.e., omelettes and pancakes — as well as the unpredictable — think, nutella stuffed french toast (definitely NOT #jlf), it is very popular.  And, by popular, we mean, get there early or plan to wait, for possibly an hour or more, to get a table.

But, it is worth the wait.  The coffee is solid, the breads (while not #jlf) are made in house — making it worthwhile to order some of those sweet treats if you don’t suffer from any adverse health effects!

Jordan’s go-to option: Roasted Peppers & Eggs on Tomatoes with Provolone & Basil Pesto

Now, the omelettes and egg dishes tend to be very #jlf.  Jordan orders the same thing every time she ventures to either of The Classic Diner’s locations (boring, yes; but, it is just too good NOT to eat when you go there!):  roasted peppers and eggs with pesto, provolone and fresh basil on top of tomatoes.  It is normally served over crusty Italian bread.  However, The Classic Diner is always willing to accommodate by putting it over fresh tomatoes.  And, Jordan has checked — numerous times — the pesto is totally #jlf! (And, Jordan has eaten this dish at both locations without suffering any ill effects!).

Overall, we give the Classic Diner 5***** for brunch! The only downside is the potential long wait!

As a side note:  the owners of The Classic Diner also own Sovana Bistro, one of the Jordan Family favorites.  Look for a future post on how to enjoy one of the top restaurants in the Philadelphia area #jlf style!
